Originally planned for May 28, 2025, at Baptist Girls’ High School, the event was postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. However, the mission remained unchanged, to educate and empower young girls on menstrual hygiene, break the silence around menstruation, and encourage girls to speak up and take pride in their bodies.

At the rescheduled event, students from Foyekem School participated in an interactive session that focused on debunking menstrual myths, promoting period dignity, and building confidence. In line with PearLight’s commitment to supporting underserved communities, free sanitary pads were distributed to all attendees.

The Confidence Project 1.0 marks the beginning of a larger vision by PearLight Empowerment Foundation to continue championing health, dignity, and empowerment for young girls. We remain grateful to our partners, volunteers, and supporters for making this important initiative a success—delayed but not denied.
