On May 28, 2025, PearLight Empowerment Foundation will officially launch its first initiative—Confidence Project 1.0—at Baptist Girls’ High School, Osogbo, Osun State.
This impactful outreach is aimed at educating and empowering young girls on the importance of menstrual hygiene, while encouraging them to speak up, ask for help, and understand that periods are nothing to be ashamed of. Through an engaging and interactive session, students will be taught the essentials of menstrual care, helping to debunk common myths and reduce the stigma around menstruation.
As part of this project, free sanitary pads will be distributed to all students in Senior Secondary School (SSS) 1 through 3, ensuring that every girl leaves not only informed, but also supported and equipped.
Confidence Project 1.0 will mark the beginning of PearLight’s long-term mission to promote dignity, health, and self-confidence for girls in underserved communities. At PearLight, we believe every girl deserves to feel empowered, especially during her period.
